Book Nook: Sleepless Nights and Kisses for Breakfast

I recently had a chance to review SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND KISSES FOR BREAKFAST by Matteo Bussola, an Italian work-from-home dad of three young daughters.

This book is a little bit interesting to read. It's not exactly a story, or a memoir, so if you read it expecting something like that, it seems a bit disjointed. However, if you read it more as it was written, as a series of short stories about the experience of being a dad, then it works really well. Each story takes just a few minutes to read, and will resonate with all parents, mom or dad. The experience of parenting is fairly universal, and Matteo responds to the mundane triumphs and crises of everyday family life with humor and a realistic viewpoint.

This is a great book for the parents you know, for yourself, or for the soon-to-be parents, to encourage them to look at their own lives with humor and joy.
